Professional Education
Clinical excellence mandates competence. Competence requires knowledge. Knowledge commands learning-lifelong. Winter Haven Hospital is committed to providing our clinical workforce with ongoing education about the latest evidence-based care, treatments and technology. Nursing works hand-in-hand with our Education Department to provide all mandatory education as well as numerous ongoing educational opportunities for nurses, including:
- Comprehensive nursing seminars, annually, presented by multiple disciplines and featuring specific clinical specialties, such as:
- Cardiovascular
- Respiratory
- Neurology
- Nursing Research
- Prep courses for various certifications (i.e., CCRN, CMSRN)
- ACLS-prep course
- ACLS, PALS, BLS (we are a provider)
- Instructor courses for ACLS, PALS, BLS
- Mandatory nursing requirements - AIDS, Domestic Violence, Medication Errors
- CEU opportunities - we are a CEU provider with the FL Board of Nursing
