About Winter Haven Hospital

Magnet Status
On December 15, 2008, the ANCC (American Nurses Credentialing Center) announced that Winter Haven Hospital had achieved Magnet status. This was an achievement attained as a result of the team efforts of all employees over a period of five years. Winter Haven Hospital is the only Florida hospital to achieve Magnet certification. With the Magnet status designation, we feel we can confidently state, “Winter Haven Hospital is an EXCELLENT hospital!”

Bostick Heart Center
Winter Haven Hospital’s Bostick Heart Center is ranked in the top 12% of heart centers nationwide, as determined by the Society of Thoracic Surgeons’ comparative data.

Regency Medical Center
Among the 500 hospitals ranked, Winter Haven Hospital’s Regency Medical Center has received the Premier Quality Award for being one of the best Women’s Hospitals in the United States.

Stroke Center
Winter Haven Hospital’s Stroke Center has received the American Heart Association’s Gold Award, which is the highest honor for Stroke Centers. As of fall 2008, only 53 other hospitals in the country had received this honor.

Cassidy Cancer Center
Winter Haven Hospital, in affiliation with the University of Florida College of Medicine, Division of Hematology & Oncology, has established the Cassidy Cancer Center, bringing comprehensive high quality cancer care to Central Florida!
